Today at 3:30pm I received a call from one Mr Vikas Singh of Delhi informing me that the ICICI pru life insurance policy taken by me on 05-03-2009 is due to lapse on coming Monday as I have not paid the four subsequent annual premia after the first installment of rupees 50000. The only way to save the policy from lapse is, as he said, I should either take another life policy or at least a mutual fund for rupees 50000 immediately and send the documents along with a crossed cheque by speed post to his personal address. In fact I do not have any record of the policy taken by me in 2009, till I am informed by this gentleman. He said that I should invest in mutual fund by name PRUDENTIAL CARES. I have not heard this Mutual Fund. He said that it was launched only last week The policy no I had as given by him is :11045322. I am a senior citizen of 70 years living on pension. Please advise me. I can not make any payment now. Urgent please. Y. Jayantrao.
