I am writing to you because I did not receive adequate support here in Germany. The product is a Donia bag. The store in Heidelberg, Germany closed soon after purchase around Xmas. I called German service number and was told that they are not responsible as the bag was not purchased online. I was told to go to another Mephisto store. I located one in Mannheim who told me they were closing temporarily for refurbishment and that I should bring the bag in when they re-opened. Due to illness, I only visited this store last Saturday, only to be told that they do not stock accessories and cannot help me. I am now very angry and astounded at the lack of customer service provided by Mephisto in Germany - hence my message to you. The particular problem is that the metal rings that connect the straps to the bag are constantly coming undone and are clearly not fit for purpose. What do you suggest I do now? Hi- I have Mephisto sandals that dis not hold up at all as I imagined they would. Within just a few years of having them- the sole started to come apart. I stuck the sandals in my closet, not able to get rid of them because I liked them so much. I just found them and decided to at least ask if there's anything you can do for me? I had thought when I purchased them at Nordstrom I would be enjoying them for years to come. So disappointing Even if you are unable to help me, I thought your customer service department should know about it. I do not want to spend $75 to refurbish them, especially since the original soles didn't last long at all. Hopefully this is just a fluke, or I got a pair from a bad 'batch'. I own a pair of Mephisto shoes that are fine leather wise. The green "Run off Jet System" insoles, however, are deteriorating. The number on the inside of the shoes is either 04933131231 or 04933737237 -- I'm not sure if the numbers after the three are one or 7. Since the shoes themselves are in good condition, I was wondering if you could send a pair of insoles (any color will do) to replace the ones which are deteriorating? I'm sure I will be able to replace them myself. If you need me to send you back the ones which are defective, I have no problem doing that. The shoes are a size five 1/2. Please advise. about 4-4 years ago I bought a pair of Black Mephisto loafers from a Mephisto High Street shop. These loafers have mainly be worn inside and had overall very little use as you can see from the attached photos. Much to my surprise and disappointment, the sole of the soles (kautchuk) are now completely disintegrating and separating from the leather top. I have attached the relevant pictures for you information. I am aware that this complaint is above the statutory period, but I think that a pair of shoes from such a reputable company should not (ever) show these defects within this time after careful maintenance and little use. On Sept. 25 2015 my wife Jane purchased a pair of Mephisto shoes(Runoff air jet system 1445220548). They were purchased at Tip Top Shoes on 72nd St in New York City. She can no longer wear the shoes because
of a hole in the lining of the left shoe above her toe. It caused redness and discomfort to her toe. The shoe size is US 8. five and she paid 233. 97 for them.
