Amrapali Institute of Management and Computer Applications – Haldwani Library collections support scholarship and teaching across the institutions broad range of non-professional programs in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as an expanding set of interdisciplinary initiatives. The collection includes Books, Dissertation, Encyclopedia, Dictionaries, Periodicals, CD-ROMs and maps. The collection grows at a rate of 2500 documents per year.
Amrapali Institute of Management and Computer Applications – Haldwani library has been using the Alice For Windows (AFW) an Integrated Library Management software package with all the modules for the library housekeeping operations. The library Online Catalogue database has more than 70,000 records of books (Bibliographic Information) and information about back volumes of periodicals since 2009. Using AFW OPAC, users can search the Library Online Catalogue on intranet by Author, Title, Subject, and keywords. Also, the users can know the latest additions of periodicals and books and the status of a document (whether on shelf or on issue). The library provides following services: Reference & Information, Book Bank Service, Reprography, On-line Full Text e-journals, OPAC (On-line public access catalogue), User Education.
The achievements in the field of placement have been commendable, considering the short time frame since the establishment of the placement cell. Efforts made have resulted in ensuring placement opportunities to our budding professionals. Amrapali Institute of Management and Computer Applications – Haldwani Placement cell assists the eligible students in securing suitable training, project & placement. The cell maintains effective contacts with the corporate world, maintains and performs liaison work between possible recruiters and the Institutes’ students (however students understand the fact that the Institute is a place for serious academic pursuits and not an agency which acts as a placement provider.
