Lake Compounce is the famous family theme park in Bristol, Connecticut in the United States. It is an old entertainment park that opened in the year of 1846. The
Idea of building a park here came when one of the descendants of John
Norton named Gad Norton, hired a scientist to perform an experiment using explosives and that experiment failed and Norton decided to convert into an amusement park.
Park Area
It is continuously-operating entertainment park in the country that spread over a large piece of land of 332 acres. For the entertainment of people, it houses number of facilities such as beach and a Water park. The name of the park was given after one of the Mattatuck/Tunxis Native American, Chief John Compound. Kennywood Entertainment Company acquired the park that is the U.S. subsidiary of Parques Reunidos. The slogan of the park is “New England's Family Theme Park.”
