Al Ameen Fathima School of Nursing - Bijapur was established by Al-Ameen Charitable Fund Trust ,Bangalore in the year 1998 vide Karnataka Government Order No. HFW-49 MSF/92 Dated 1.10.94 and by the Karnataka Nursing Council No.313/94.The School has been duly recognized by the Indian Nursing Council vide C No.18/722/2000-INC. School provides Diploma program to the students.
Al Ameen Fathima School of Nursing - Bijapur is located at Bijapur, Karnataka. Library has two units - one for undergraduate students and other for postgraduate students. It has separate sections for students, staff books, periodicals, back volumes, Magazine & News papers and internet; it caters the need of students & teaching faculties by providing national and International journals & books in all the disciplines. There are 9500 text and reference books 1800 back volumes of nearly 120 journals. It is also linked with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore, in providing nearly 300 online e-journals. The Internet facilities are provided for students and facilities to update their knowledge.
There are two hostels for men's and women's separately in Al Ameen Fathima School of Nursing - Bijapur Campus. Both the hostels 24 hours electricity. In case of power failures hostels are having own generators. It has its own water supply facility. All the hostels are provided solar heater which supply warm water round the clock. At Bibi Khatija Ladies Hostel each room is provided with attach bathroom and toilet. Both boys and Ladies Hostels are provided with Indoor STD Telephone booth facilities which remain open day and night .Apart from this Department of Telecommunication, Govt. of India also provides a customer service PCO with Fax facility in the campus.
Al Ameen Fathima School of Nursing - Bijapur lays special emphasis on sports activities, which are monitored by an experienced and highly qualified Physical Director, Mr. Nazeer Mamdapur, M.P.Ed. Several students of the Medical and Dental College have represented the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in various games and sports events. The campus has facilities for all the outdoor games like cricket, football, volley ball, basket ball, throw ball with 200 mt. track. An Indoor sports complex with facilities for carom, chess, table tennis and gymnasium is available.
