Alpha College of Engineering and Technology - Puducherry is run by Alpha Educational & Charitable Trust. Mr. V. Bashingam, our Founder with his enriched knowledge and experience in the field of education had a thirst to serve society through education. As a result Alpha Educational & Charitable Trust was established in the year 1992 with eminent persons from the field of education. As an initial step into the World of Education, he started Alpha Matric. Hr. Sec. School in the year 1992 with the strength of 27 students and 4 staff and the school had its nominal growth till 1999. Mr. Dana Thiyagou son of Mr. V. Bashingam became the Director of Alpha Educational Institutions in the year 1999 with the aim of transforming an individual into a complete personality with character and ability through academic excellence. Alpha College of Engineering and Technology - Puducherry provides Bachelor Degree to the students.

The juries and seminars are conducted in seminar hall with ultra modern LCD projector, computer, and audio and video facilities. The college building seminar hall has a capacity of 100, The IT building hall has a capacity of 250 and all the juries and seminars are conducted in the seminar hall. The hall is equipped with ultra modern LCD projector, computer workstation, audio-visual facilities and wireless Internet facilities.
Alpha College of Engineering and Technology - Puducherry offers hostel facilities to the students in the hostel located in the campus that is meant for all students. Psychology Lab has all the tests and the corresponding equipments for conducting psychology experiments. College also provides expert guidance and counseling services to needy students. College has several classrooms which are well equipped with the latest teaching aids and equipments.
