History
Circle K was established by Fred Hervey in the year 1951 in El Paso, Texas, USA. Circle K was started after purchasing of
Three Kay's Food Stores. In 1951, Hervey changed its name into the Circle K Stores, Inc., and started operation in New Mexico and Arizona. Later, the company introduced a brand name as Circle K. At the end of 2003, it became the subsidiary company of Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc.

In 1975, it had over 1,000 stores under the workforce of 3,000 employees in the United States. During 1979, the company expanded its business at global level and opened first international store in Japan.
