Dayanand Girls Post Graduate College - DG PG College Kanpur was founded in 1959 as the first all women’s PG College in the town in the memory of Swami Dayanand Saraswati who stood for the revival and propagation of Vedic Dharma. The college, in consonance to that , has the vision of moulding the life of women in a sublime and noble way with the prime objective of uplifting their physical and social condition without the distinction of caste and creed through the vital mission of dispelling ignorance and promoting knowledge. Thus DG’s whole architecture stands upon the twin pillars of Indian culture and nationalism.
