Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya – DSVV Haridwar is situated on the banks of Holy River Ganges, under the shadow of sacred Himalayan region in district Dehradun. It is seven km from railway station on the main road on Delhi Nitti Pass Highway. It has a sprawling campus of 82 acres area. Established by the act of Uttaranchal Government 04, 2002, Dehradun on 11th April 2002.
Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya – DSVV Haridwar is duly recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Sri Vedmata Gayatri Trust, a charitable Spiritual body at Shantikunj Haridwar (head quarter of Gayatri Pariwar) is taking care of all the expenses of this university. It is fully residential with provision for accommodation for about 750 students. The concept of Time Donation 'Samaydaan' is behind the functioning of this university.

Research at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya – DSVV Haridwar encourages interdisciplinary research in the field of behavioral yogic sciences. Research scholars are also registered in the faculty of Oriental Studies to take up extensive research work on various aspects of Vedic Sciences as related to present day problems. For example Ms Mamta Saxena is working on ‘Air Quality Modeling Non-Conventional solutions through Vedic Science for the Environmental Problems and Ms Minakshi Raghuvansi has worked on “Chemical Pharmaceutical Aspects of Yagyopathy : Studies in Pulmonary Tuberculosis”. The results of the later study are published in International Journal. In all 71 students are working as Research Scholars. The university also grants fellowship to research students and about 90% research students have been provided with free lodging, boarding medical facilities with Rs. 1000/- fellowship amount.

It is located at the centre of the university and we can see the panoramic the campus from its top floor. The latest study material for all the courses the students are encouraged enhances their knowledge and intelligence in other streams as well. The library consists of around 19,300 books on the subjects being taught in the university. Library also consists of varied collection of philosophical books, books on Human excellence, life-management, Personality development, Autobiographies and vivid other interesting subjects.
The Department of Computer Science of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya – DSVV Haridwar launched in 2003 plays a vital role in providing state of the art facilities to the students in the field of Information Technology. The Campus has an Optical Fiber Network for more than 200 computer systems. A five year integrated course was commenced in 2006 in which after B Sc the students will be given admission in M.CA. Latest Teaching Techniques are used in the theory sessions and Practicals are preplanned. Also Seminars and Quiz programs are also organized from time to time. Recently Diploma in Animation and Visual Effects was launched in the year 2008 with a very high-tech lab and teaching facilities.
The Canteen of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya – DSVV Haridwar behind the Academic block is the centre for refreshment for staff, students and visitors. The canteen provides delicious dishes like 'Sambhar-Vada', Sambhar-Idli, Cream roll and bakery products. Herbal Tea called ‘Pragya’ is available for Re.1 only which is very good for the general health as it contains many herbs like tulsi, ashwagandha, brahmi, mulethi etc. Generally students go to the canteen around 1 in the afternoon for a cup of tea with biscuits or samosa. The Canteen also provides seasonal juice, butter milk, badam milk and simple milk at nominal charges.
