Graduate Teacher Training Registry abbreviated as GTTR is an admission service operated by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), a British not-for-profit organization responsible for providing admissions to various universities based in the United Kingdom. The registry came into existence in the year of 1960 by the efforts of the Central Register and Clearing House (CRCH).
GTTR Courses, and Status
The registry provides approximately 1,500 graduate and post graduate Teacher Training courses to a large number of students through several universities, school-centered initial teacher training (SCITT), and colleges of higher education based in England, Wales, and Scotland. The students are awarded a Postgraduate or Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) after the successful completion of the course listed in the Graduate Teacher Training Registry (GTTR) scheme.
