Hurd has filed bankruptcy and was bought out by another company. That company bought only assets, not claims My Hurd Windows have a tendency to "pop" and shatter one by one. Each time I have to pay $250. To have it replaced. Please choose replacement windows very carefully so you do not find yourself in my position.

I have had Hurdz windows thru out my home and they are aluminum on the outside and wood on the inside. My builder used these products and said that they have lifetime warrantied, I had them since 1986 and in time the glass panels leaked gas and they were no longer efficient frame they ride on has deteriorated to the point that it becomes very hard to tilt and clean the glass, the outside of the frame coating has been turned to dust and when you clean the outside of the window it leaves white streaks from the coating. It has become a nightmare to deal with my windows. Since they are lifetime warrantied what can you do about my situation?.

I purchased 32 Hurd casement windows in 1992. The white flanged cap that retains the metal pin in the screens after 25 years have all disintegrated, I assume, from weathering. I need to replace all 128 of the caps. Springs and pins are fine. I only want the cap. Can I purchase just the caps please. The diameter of the pin where the cap pushes on is roughly. 135" in diameter. Thanks,
Ralph Anger .

We purchased our Hurd Windows in 2007 or 2008, spending upwards of $20, 000. Many of our east windows are getting very difficult to see out of - a fog or haze or glaze is inside of them. We've seen several reviews about this issue, but no one has had any help from Hurd representatives or their customer service department. We also feel the screens are inferior. The frame of the screen is about 1/8" away from the window frame on both sides so bugs could easily come inside. Any suggestions?

Thank you.
