Mr. P. Narayana, an Educationalist promoted this institute as Narayana Engineering College – Nellore in the year 1998. This college was affiliated to JNTUniversity and offered five Under Graduate Engineering courses namely, Electronics and communication, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Information Technology and Electrical and Instrumentation. The constant support and effort by the Management, Faculty, Students, and Parents led the college to grow in both quantitatively and qualitatively.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, has ensured accreditation of all the courses offered at Narayana Engineering College – Nellore. Further in the year 1998, we have included another new branch namely Electronics and Computers and in the year 2002 we have introduced another branch namely Bio-Medical. Now we have a total intake of 480 students per year, we have an exceptional faculty, resources and students. Narayana Engineering College – Nellore motto is to give the students an excellence in his or her career, our goal to shape their future in all the ways.

Nagar (post), Nellore, A.P.Narayana Engineering College – Nellore central library (A/C) is housed in A-Block first floor with carpet area of about 580Sq.M.It has 24,947 books and also subscribes 118 National and International journals. It also subscribes for online journals (IEEE/IEE). Back volumes of the journals and 868 students project reports are also available in the library. Database of the library software is well furnished and computerised using inbuilt On-Line Library software. Barcode system is implemented for effective circulation. The Book Bank division lends books to the economically poor, SC and ST students. A total of 2365 books are available in the book bank for circulation.
To meet the ever growing necessity of the latest resources in engineering, Digital Library at Narayana Engineering College – Nellore was started in the year 2003 and it consists of 100 hours of pre-recorded lectures by stalwarts in the field of science & technology, SONET VCD’s, DELNET, E-books. Computers with internet facility are available to access online resources such as IEEE, ACME and Television with satellite connection to watch live broadcast of UGC, SONET and MANA TV programs. Apart from the central library every department has its own library. Narayana Engineering College – Nellore has indigenously developed library software & it has reprographic, bookbinding and lamination facilities, which are available to the students at a nominal cost.
Narayana Engineering College – Nellore has a full-fledged Placement Cell which organizes the Campus Interview by inviting different organizations of India. Organizations are provided full-fledged facilities for organizing interviews in the campus backed up by experts in different areas, for the benefit of prospective employers. The placement process commences with summer placement, which is a steppingstone for career placement. The students are admitted on the basis of EAMCET exam. They are taught by full time core faculties, who have long years of work experience in highly reputed companies and colleges. The students regularly meet with industry stalwarts and in the process they develop enthusiasm to work hard and succeed.
