Roots to the year 1920 with the establishment of Wooster Rubber company that initially manufacture toy balloons for the "Sunshine" brand. Wooster Rubber and Rubbermaid combined together to make a new company named "Wooster Rubber Company". The company was taken over by Newell at a whopping cost of $6 billion which named it "Newell Rubbermaid". Previously the company owns its headquarters in Wooster, Ohio that was moved to another location in Atlanta, Georgia.
