Seth Pokhar Mal Educational Society (SPMES) decided to start Rukmini Devi College of Education-RDCOE to cultivate ‘a group of Educators’ who can deliver quality education to the masses and can prepare students to strive in an increasingly diverse society, driven by technology.
Keeping in view the growing need of educational opportunities for children to develop them into responsible citizens as a national resource and their exposure to contemporary circumstances, Seth Pokhar Mal Educational Society was established in 1986 as a body registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. The basic objective of the Society is to provide educational opportunities to the masses, which are more creative and innovative in their thinking, skilled in using and applying new information and communication technologies to their best advantage.
Rukmini Devi College of Education-RDCOE will cater to recognized courses – Nursery and Elementary Teacher Education. The Society has got the approval of NCTE and the affiliation from SCERT Session 2008-09, for running Nursery Teacher Training Course and the necessary approval & affiliation is in process with the statutory bodies for running Elementary Teacher Training Course. Institute possesses the essential Physical and Instructional infrastructure for developing skills and competencies through effective transaction of the curriculum of the courses offered.

A magnificent, multi-storied building housing lush green leaves is equipped with all basic and modern facilities such as Laboratories - Psychology Laboratory, Educational Technology Laboratory, Science Lab etc. The school serves as an epicenter of the institute for trying out new and innovative strategies in teaching.

Modernized and technologically advanced scientific laboratories equipped with Hi–tech equipments for making the students familiar with the basic instruments and equipments used to supplement theoretical concepts. Dedicated workstations for faculty members are designed for preparation of aids and structuring their lectures.
