School of Pharmaceutical Sciences - SPS Bhubaneswar faculty of Pharmacy, under Siksha ‘O' Anusandhan University provides an adequate infrastructure support and facilities required for Pharmacy students. It is five storied having total area of 8600 sqr meter which is more than AICTE requirement. Playground and Hostels are adjacent to the Institute. It is located at Kalinga Nagar, Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar . It accommodates lecture halls, seminar hall, conference room, placement cell, library, computer center, students' common room, canteen and a cafeteria.
Pharmaceutics is concerned with the strategies by which biologically active compounds are presented to the body so as to elicit an optimal response. Included are the design, preparation and testing of drug-delivery systems. The major areas of emphasis found in the current research in the Department of Pharmaceutics at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences - SPS Bhubaneswar : Nano technology, Formulation Design and Development, Physical/Industrial Pharmacy, Physics of Powder Compaction, Drug-Recipient Interaction, Novel Drug Delivery Systems. Individual students would be provided their own laptop through the institutes's subsidized scheme. Computer labs are connected through lease line internet round the clock. The laboratory process 42 numbers of upgraded computers connected with LAN facilities with 20KVA UPS Back-up System. The students are involved in different programming related to Pharmacy field.
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences - SPS Bhubaneswar provides separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. The girls' hostel is in the immediate neighborhood of the institute and 24-hour security is provided in the hostel. The hostels provide excellent study atmosphere, a comfortable and secured staying. Bus facility is extended to day scholars on a payment basis.

In case of emergency students are taken to the SUM HOSPITAL, which is 50 meters away from the Institute. SUM HOSPITAL, the state of art modern hospital creates images of hope, happiness and well-being. The dream of Siksha ‘O' Anusandhan to build an ultra modern 750 bedded hospital having latest medical facilities with a team of dedicated & efficient professionals has become true. The hospital is widely recognized as the modern health care center in the state & adjoining areas. It started functioning from July 2004 having 500 beds, 120 cabins with multi specialty facilities.
The University has NCC & NSS wings, facilities for Indoor & outdoor games. Students of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences - SPS Bhubaneswar can also participate in Cultural Activities, annual Function, NPW Programme, etc. Personality Development Classes, GD, Presentation Skills & Mock Interviews are taken to prepare the students adequate for Industry through our PPT Programme conducted by experienced and skilled trainer engaged by our University.
