Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering was founded in the year 1995.The College provides undergraduate courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical (Stream Production) Engineering, Mechanical (Stream Automobile) Engineering, Biotechnology and Bio Chemical Engineering.
In addition to this, there has been a governing body decision to start an undergraduate course in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and graduate courses in 6 different areas. The AICTE certified M.Tech degree course in Machine Design by Mechanical Engineering Department was started in 2009 with a single batch of students.
TEQIP - program of Government of India has brought in some noteworthy changes in the quality of training provided by the college with the forthcoming Central Computing facility, digital library etc. The
