Vedavyasa Institute of Technology - Calicut Library is the treasure house open for academicians and students. The library was started with an initial stock of 4000 books in 2004 and now has more than 12,003 volumes of books on a variety of subjects. Utmost care is taken in developing resources for each department. Vedavyasa Institute of Technology - Calicut Library Subscribes to more than 50 International and National Periodicals and has a good collection of Latest CDs & Floppies on various fields. Most of the Library functions such as issue, return, reservation and searching books have been automated.
The new Central Library has built in area of 750 Sq. meter and is built on international standards. Well furnished hostels are available for men and women separately. Currently these can accommodate 100 men and 150 women students respectively. Single, double and multi member rooms are available in the hostel. The rooms are well furnished and all essential facilities for the comfortable stay of the inmates have been provided. Hygienically prepared vegetarian food, with rotating menu, are made available in the mess.
The assistant wardens in these hostels look after the affairs of the room allocation to the individual students and issuing the 'Out Pass Forms' for the students going home during the Institute vacations. All the student complaints regarding the room maintenance and stay are routed through the warden of the hostel to the concerned authorities. Vedavyasa Institute of Technology - Calicut also provides facilities like Reading Room, Medical assistance are available for the convenience of the students staying in the hostel. During times of power failure Generator provides electricity to the hostels.Besides the students hostels, Guest Houses for the comfortable stay of senior faculty are also made available at Ramanattukara.New students hostels with improved facilities are going to be constructed soon.
