Puck's first restaurant was opened at sunset site in 1982, serving California cuisine. Asian fusion was firstly introduced in 1983 in Chinois on Main, Santa Monica, California. Wolfgang Johannes Puck was born in Sankt Veit van der Glan, Austria on 8th of July 1949 and his first cooking teacher was his mother. He decided to leave his homeland and visit Monaco in Paris and started taking cooking classes from Raymond Thuilier. Later, he moved to the United States in 1973 at age 24 to become chef and finally become co-owner of Ma Maison restaurant in Los Angeles. In 2000, company was finally established and headquartered in Beverly Hills, California.
