Charutar Vidya Mandal, established in 1945 as a registered charitable trust, is striving ever since for the cause of upliftment of rural society through education. Today Charutar Vidya Mandal manages over thirty three educational institutions, including three engineering colleges, namely, Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya - 1948, G. H. Patel College of Engineering & Technology - 1996 and AD Patel Institute of Technology - 2000. AD Patel Institute of Technology is located in New Vallabh Vidyanagar, Dist. Anand, Vitthal Udyognagar.Keeping in view the new economic order, the globalization of market & competitive international scenario with Hi-Tech advancement, Charutar Vidya Mandal at Vallabh Vidyanagar has established one more self-financed institute of technology - a degree engineering college named as AD Patel Institute of Technology on an area of 40 acres of land, behind an industrial set-up of Vitthal Udhyognagar GIDC near Vallabh Vidyanagar. The campus has developed as New Vallabh Vidyanagar.
AD Patel Institute of Technology campus at New Vallabh Vidyanagar will provide residential hostel accommodation for 500 boys & 200 girls & quarters for 150 staff members, along with sports complex, guest house, shopping center and other amenities. It is essential that the student is in live contact of the faculty & others. Hence hostel admission is compulsory for students coming from outside Sardar Patel University area.
AD Patel Institute of Technology is offers degree courses such as – Bachelor of Technology in Automobile Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Food Processing Technology, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering.All courses offered are divided into four levels - Level-1 to Level-4. The levels correspond to successive years of study of a typical B.E. student. In other words, a typical student will complete his Level- 1 courses during his first year, Level-2 courses during his second year and so on. The list of courses offered in a semester will be announced by the college at the beginning of the semester. Normally courses which are listed under first semesters of a typical B.E. program will be offered in the first semester of each academic year. Similarly, courses listed under second semesters will be offered in the second semester. In addition, courses with high failure rate in a semester may be offered again in the following semester as repeat courses. Each student of AD Patel Institute of Technology assigned to a Faculty Adviser who will advise him regarding the selection of courses to be registered in, in a given semester. The final selection of courses made by the student must be approved by his Faculty Adviser.
AD Patel Institute of Technology’s library provides facilities and services necessary for success of all formal programmers of instruction, open the door to wide world of book that lies beyond the boundaries of one’s own field of qualification and bring the books by students and scholars together under conditions which encourage reading for pleasure, self discovery, personal growth and the sharing of intellectual curiosity. The collection of the Library is rich and diverse, especially in terms of the breadth and depth of coverage. Collection encompasses subjects in communication technology, computer engineering, information technology, electronics, mechanical engineering, humanities and social sciences and related areas. This collection includes, books, conference proceedings, reference books, journals, magazines, CDs, floppies, etc.
AD Patel Institute of Technology having placement requirements are approaching us and we provide necessary support and infrastructure for conducting campus interviews. We also participate in pool campus interviews organized by other engineering colleges managed by Charutar Vidya Mandal. We also welcome industries to organize campus interview at our institute and invite other neighboring colleges on request by individual industry on case to case basis. On receipt of communication from the company for the placement requirement, the requirements are reviewed and dates for the campus interviews are decided and communicated to students through notice and through forthcoming campus interview announcement with short job description / title, eligibility criteria and interview procedure in website.It is desirable that the companies provide job announcement details in a prescribed job announcement format so that information can be provided to the students quickly.
AD Patel Institute of Technology Journal of Engineering is published yearly. The information published in this Journal is designed to inform researchers, developers, managers, strategic planners, users and authors interested in state-of-the-art and state-of-the-practice activities in the engineering and technology. It is assumed that the ideas presented are important, have been well analyzed or empirically validated, and are of value to the engineering and technology community. Areas include, but not limited to : (a) Electronics and communication (b) Electrical Engineering (c) Computer Engineering (d) Information Technology (e) Mechanical Engineering (f) Automobile Engineering (g) Food Processing Technology (h) Civil Engineering.
Industry Institution Interaction and Placements Cell (III P Cell) is established with an aim of strengthening mutually beneficial relationship with industry and institution. This cell is headed by a full time professor with rich industrial experience. The cell is having active support and participation of all head of departments through faculty representatives. The principal of the AD Patel Institute of Technology regularly reviews he performance of the cell and provides leadership and direction. We believe in developing professional relationship with industries and industries association by undertaking industry sponsored projects for students, organizing expert lectures from technical experts from industries and arranging interactions of our faculty with industries to understand their problems and identify appropriate solutions jointly. Facilitates student visits to industries and industrial training under the guidance of respective head of department by departmental faculty representatives of the cell and Interaction with industries and other leading academic institutes to identify academicians and management / technical experts from industries with a willingness to support the institute.
