Amity Institute of Environmental Science - AIES Noida is an interdisciplinary institute centre, established as a part of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida. This is currently institute running two Masters programmes, M.Sc. (Environmental Sciences) and M.Tech (Environmental Science and Technology). Efforts are on to develop this Institute as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the field of Environmental Science and Technology. The institute intends to impart special training to students who can handle the emerging environmental problems of various kinds faced by the industries and the society on both the technological and environmental fronts.
The academic programmes of Amity Institute of Environmental Science - AIES Noida are being reviewed / revised periodically and updated, keeping in mind the need for sharp focus, the available expertise at any given time, and the changes desired in curriculum of individual courses or specific programmes. The Institute also offers Ph.D. programme in research related to environmental sciences and Technology. Faculty members of Amity Institute of Environmental Science - AIES Noida are from diverse fields of specialization ranging from Environmental Engineering, Environmental Biotechnology, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Microbial Ecology, Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Chemistry, immunodiagnostics for pollutant/pesticides, Energy and Environmental Management, Environmental Modeling and Management to Sustainable Development in environment.

With the view to strengthen the nation’s resolve to achieve Environmental Sustainability in the foreseeable future; AUUP established an Institute in the area of Environmental Science and Technology in the year 2009 with the prime objective to focus on Environmental problems and their economical solutions. This focus was also aimed at strengthening of Environmental management, Efficiency and mitigating Climate change & Environmental degradation.
The focus areas for Amity Institute of Environmental Science - AIES Noida were identified as: wastewater treatment technology, solid waste management, climate change affordable renewable energy technologies, zero emission technologies, green house gas emission reduction and CO2 capture technologies. Prime as in behind establishment of this institute is to provide expertise and technology to India and world to combat with increasing environmental problems and provide feasible solution to achieve sustainable development. One compulsory course in Environmental Science is offered to all the students at Bachelor’s level to create awareness away young generation about the importance of Environment and is conservation etc. Amity Institute of Environmental Science - AIES Noida provides Master Degree program to the college students.

That is why, we are proud that Amity became the first wireless campus of India, years before most people had even heard of the technology. As India's first hi-tech smart campus, Amity has wireless broadband internet connectivity with over 75 kms of fiber optic/ LAN cable backbone structure. Each student is provided with a smart card for access control/e-wallet etc. Also, all campuses are interconnected through a highly secured Amity Virtual Private Network, where over 4,000 PCs are connected to the internet through broadband connections whilst 37 hi-end servers power the Amity network.
