Mahendra Institute of Technology – Tiruchengode is established in 2007 by the Mahendra Educational Trust under the visionary leadership of renowned educationalist Shri.M.G.Bharathkumar, who is the Chairman of the Trust and a well-known Philanthropist in this region. Mahendra Institute of Technology – Tiruchengode is approved by AICTE and currently, it offers four undergraduate programmes in Engineering & Technology and a postgraduate programme in management.

Each Hostel is facilitated with single bed, double bed and dormitory arrangements. Purified drinking water, hot water and cold water are provided round the clock. There is a 24-hour power backup, enabling adequate comfort to the residents. Facilities for communication, entertainment, and indoor games such Chess, Carom and modern Gym are also extended. Each Hostel houses a Common reading room, Dining hall and requisite medical facilities. Hygienic and Nutritious food is provided based on the students' need and the mess functions on dividing system.

Transport facility of Mahendra Institute of Technology – Tiruchengode has its own buses that ply from places such as Erode, Attur, Salem, Kannankurichi, Komaramangalam, Konganapuram, Namakkal, Rasipuram, Tharamangalam and other places. The buses ply to a radial distance of 50 km to help the students and staff to reach the College on time as well as to get dropped back at their places in the evening. Mahendra Educational Trust has around 150 buses and all these buses are used according to the need and facility of the students and the staff.
