Amity Institute of Global Legal Education and Research - AIGLER Noida was established originally in 2002 under the auspices of Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) whose Founder President Dr Ashok K Chauhan is a visionary industrialist, philanthropist and educationist. Later, the Institute was admitted as a department of Amity University Uttar Pradesh in November 2006.
The Institute is unique and the only one in India. It has an interdisciplinary approach and is committed to the development of the culture of Amity, that is, to nurture talent. The object of Amity Institute of Global Legal Education and Research - AIGLER Noida is to impart, promote and develop specialized knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the law and practice relating to international investment, trade, WTO agreements, commerce, intellectual property rights, environmental law, ecology, traditional knowledge, bio-diversity, sustainable development and many more emerging areas in the global economy. At the Institute impetus is given to research on various trade topics like economic and environmental laws.
