The Selvam Educational and Charitable Trust and Rajas Educational and Charitable Trust Vadakkangulam were established in the year 1984 under the Chairmanship of Dr. S . A . Raja a popular philanthropist and educationist hailing from Vadakangulam. Arul College of Technology – Tirunelveli established by Dr. S.A Raja, Founder Chairman of Selvam educational and charitable trust, pioneer in the field of technical education for the past 26 years, maintaining standards, discipline , dignity and decorum ,is established at Radhapuram in Tirunelveli district , Tamilnadu . It is a coeducation college offering the following most preferred branches of study. Arul College of Technology – Tirunelveli offers different kind of undergraduate courses in engineering.
Arul College of Technology – Tirunelveli library adequately equipped with books covering wide range of disciplines of academic and non-academic interest. The college also subscribes for international and national journals, periodicals and newspapers for the students and faculty members at the college library. Arul College of Technology – Tirunelveli Mechanical Engineering Department has got the well-established laboratories with modern equipments and machineries with adequate software packages as per Anna University and AICT norms. Electronics and Communication department has got the well-established laboratories.

The computers in the labs are upgraded periodically to satisfy the technological aspirations of the students. The internet centre is kept open even after the college hours and on the weekend holidays to help the students acquire the latest and essential information in relation to their studies.
