Bhartiya College of Education – Udhampur was established in the year 2003.It is being run under the management of Bhartiya Educational Trust. It has been recognized by the Govt. of J&K. The college is preparing the students primarily for B.Ed degree catering to multitudinal needs of budding students to become efficient teachers. Bhartiya College of Education – Udhampur is located in Industrial Estate, Dhar Road, Udhampur (J&K). College is housed in a multistoreyed buildingwhich comprises of fourteen Spacious class rooms, Audio-visual room, chamber of Chairperson, Principal's Chamber, office, computer lab and Science Lab.
In addition to this, Bhartiya College of Education – Udhampur provides excellent infra structure like spacious Library having 2000 books, reading room, multipurpose hall and big examination hall. There are separate toilet blocks for male and female. The college also provides basic amenities for the male and female students like Girls Common Room, Boys common room, Canteen facility and aqua guard for pure drinking water. There is lush green lawn with different types of plants in front of the college building which adds beauty to the Campus. Separate parking arrangement has been provided for two and four wheelers. Bhartiya College of Education – Udhampur also plans to set up a digital library, which helps the students and staff members to update their knowledge in the field of education and Science. The College plans to increase the volume of books from 3000 to 5000 during this academic year. During this year the library plans to increase the number of subscriptions for periodicals around 100.
Bhartiya College of Education – Udhampur provides separate hostel for male and female, situated at a large distance apart. Each hostel comprises of excellent comfortable accommodation along with spacious dining hall, recreation hall with TV etc. Aqua guard drinking water facility has also been provided. For convenience of hosteliers, there is 24 hours uninterrupted power supply and STD/PCO facility available well inside the hostel. It is advisable that the non-Local female/male students should stay in the hostel so that they can study seriously. An admission or for seeking admission in hostel is available from the office which is to the filled up by the concerned and be submitted in the office. The rent charges for the hostel are fixed by university authorities.
Bhartiya College of Education – Udhampur possesses a vast plain play field where volleyball, football, cricket and badminton are played by almost all trainees. Keen interest in games is shown by all students under the leadership of physical Director. Outdoor and indoor games facilities are provided fully. Bhartiya College of Education – Udhampur has a NSS unit headed by Programme officer, Prof. Simple Jamwal. It was established during the year 2005 with an objective to nourish the trainees with global activities of welfare. Bhartiya College of Education – Udhampur owns two A-class mini-buses for carrying trainees from hostel to the College Campus and Vice-versa. In a way, transport facility is available at the doorstep of all local trainees also.
