Emphasis is given on developing team spirit, fairness in play, the right attitude during competitions and games, and encouraging weaker person to actively participate.
Students of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science for Women – DACASW Perambalur represented in the District level Sports and games on 23.7.09 at District stadium and the boys higher secondary school. Students secured winners in Basket ball, Hand ball and Kabaddi. In spite of that K. Sivaranjani of III Maths won the first place in 200 mts running race and Long jump. M. Ramya of II BCA won the second place in 100 mts running race and third place in 200 mts running race. R. Lakshmi priya of I Bio- Tech won the first place in 100 mts running race and second place in 200 mts running race, and P. Suganya of III BA English won the second place in shot put.
