Doraha College of Education for Women was established in 2005 with aim to offer quality education to women and make them competent in this male dominant society. The College was inaugurated by an educational Society of “Sant Kartar Singh Ji Kamalia Wale”. The Campus is situated on the banks of Sirhind Canal which is located at the distance of 20 km from Ludhiana.
Doraha College of Education for Women is known for its well ventilated and spacious infrastructure. The Campus has well built labs and library that are fully equipped with modern equipment. The library has more than 6600 books on various subjects. It also has a separate reading room which provides better learning environment to the students. The College has a spacious seminar hall that provides all modern facilities that owns LCD Projector, Television, and DVD Player.
The science lab of the college fulfills all requirements of the students that includes Scientific Equipment, Charts, Models and many measuring equipment. The Sports department of the college organizes many sports activities in the campus and evoke the students to take part in it. The College has a large playground that is used for numerous games and sports activities. The College offers many indoor and outdoor games like Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Badminton. The College has well ventilated and commodious canteen which always serves delicious and healthy food.

Doraha College of Education for Women offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme on the basis of B.Ed entrance test that is conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh. A candidate who is a graduate in any stream from recognized university is eligible for this entrance test.
Doraha College of Education for Women has Guidance & Placement division that provides better placements and guidance to the students and makes them aware of career and job opportunities available in their respective fields.
