NSS unit of Giani Kartar Singh Memorial Government College - Hoshiarpur showed great enthusiasm in rendering selfless social service. A dedicated group of 80 volunteers of boys’ unit and 150 volunteers of girls’ unit shouldered the responsibility of cleanliness and beautification of the college under the motto ‘Youth for Sustainable Development’. The volunteers participated in the seminar on ‘Evil of Female Foeticide’ and ‘The Menace of Drugs’ held in the college. The offered their services during National Program of Pulse Polio. They were also all out to help and serve the patients in an Eye Camp organized by Bhai Ghanayia Charitable Trust at village Moonak Kalan. They donated blood in the blood donation camp held in the college.
Youth welfare club of the college has always been tapping the hidden talents of the young students and chiseling their creative abilities. Our students distinguished themselves in various items in the Zonal Youth Festival held at Khalsa College Garhdiwala.
