In 1964, Ipcowala Santram College of Fine Arts - Vallabh Vidyanagar was started with 45 students of Drawing Teachers Certificate course (DTC) of one year. It was a dream of late Shri Bhikhabhai Saheb and Shri Bhaikaka that there should be colleges of all faculties in this educational campus. So under the leadership of Shri H.M.Patel Saheb and by great devotion of Kalaguru late Shri Ravishankar Raval, Kalakendra was established in 1960.
After short time, Ipcowala Santram College of Fine Arts - Vallabh Vidyanagar was running Drawing & Painting, Sculpture and Commercial Art courses. In 1972-73, the government closed all the external courses and gave recognition of a full flagged fine arts collage as Kalakendra College of Fine Arts in 1973-74. Today, after 40 years, eminent industrialist and famous donaer of Nadiad (Dharmaj) Shri Indubhai Patel Ipcowala donated to Charutar Vidya Mandal, Vallabh Vidyanagar. Shri C.L.Patel Chairman, Charutar Vidya Mandal, Prepared a big new building with modern facilities for the institution at the approximate cost of Rs.1 Crore. And today, It is renamed as IPCOWALA SANTRAM COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS. Ipcowala Santram College of Fine Arts - Vallabh Vidyanagar provides Diploma program to the students.

College has developed a well equipped Electronics/Physics lab under the able guidance of experienced faculties. Most modern electronics practical kits are available in the Lab. Besides the institution have well furnished laboratories for Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics & Chemistry.
Ipcowala Santram College of Fine Arts - Vallabh Vidyanagar has two seminar halls with all modern facilities in the campus. The juries and seminars are conducted in seminar hall with ultra modern LCD projector, computer, and audio and video facilities. The college building seminar hall has a capacity of 100, The IT building hall has a capacity of 250 and all the juries and seminars are conducted in the seminar hall. The hall is equipped with ultra modern LCD projector, computer workstation, audio-visual facilities and wireless Internet facilities.
Ipcowala Santram College of Fine Arts - Vallabh Vidyanagar offers hostel facilities to the students in the hostel located in the campus that is meant for all students of college. Psychology Lab has all the tests and the corresponding equipments for conducting psychology experiments based on B. Ed. syllabus. College also provides expert guidance and counseling services to needy students. College has several classrooms which are well equipped with the latest teaching aids and equipments.
