Govt Girls College - Betul was established in september 1986. After completing nine years of its academic journey in a rented building, it was shifted to its newly constructed building on 16th june 1995. Initially, the college was affiliated to Dr. H.S. Gour university, Sagar. Since 1995 it is affiliated to Barkatullah university. This college has a beautiful campus with all facilities required for smooth running of the College. Recently Government Girl's College Betul has been conferred B+Grade by NAAC Banglore.

Govt Girls College - Betul is situated at Betul (M.P.). Betul holds the prestigious position of being the originating place of holy river Tapti,("Suryaputri"). Predominantly, a tribal district, Betul is surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges of Satputa. The existing building of Govt Girls College - Betul is expanded over the area of 3 acres. The college building was constructed in the year 1986. Old construction was primarily erected on the ground floor. The existing building has eleven class rooms, two laboratories, one hall, Principal’s cabin, Office, Staff room, NSS and Sports room.
Govt Girls College - Betul has a computerized library with well designed glass almirah shelves and a reading room to accomodate about 30 students. It also has an advisory commitee. The soul INELIBNET software is installed in the library. It has 17067 text and reference books. It is also equipped with Audio Video Cassettes, CDs, Maps and Charts. A set of famous encyclopedia is also available.
Govt Girls College - Betul has around 17067 books of various subjects. According to the policy of government to modernize the library, we have computerized library management and distribution system. Beside library there is a reading room available where students as well as teachers can study newspapers, magazines as well as books. Govt Girls College - Betul provides the facility of book bank to the students of ST and SC. It is proposed to make a play ground-cum- mini stadium in near future in the campus. Sports activites are governed as per university calendar. Basketball court, Kabaddi ground, volleyball court, badminton court, table tennis, atheletic facilities are available in the College.
