Guru Nanak College – GNC Chennai was established in the year 1971 as a Unit of Guru Nanak Educational Society to mark the 500th birthday of the great Shri Guru Nanak Devji, founder of the Sikh Religion. The objective of the college is to spread the ideals of universal brotherhood, oneness of God, communal harmony and welfare to all communities. The College is being run as a minority community college within the meaning of articles 29 and 30 of the Indian Constitution.

Guru Nanak College – GNC Chennai Management, Principal, Estate in-charge and our faculty are highly co-operative and supportive in providing the required infrastructure and hospitality for the recruiting companies.A special effort in placement this year was an initiative by TCS as part of their CSR activities. They provided 80 hours training in English communication and Corporate etiquette to the SC/ST students, free of cost. At the end of the training they were tested and in the first round 30 students were given offer letters for jobs in TCS. Two trainers were engaged by TCS for the job.
