The institution was awarded for the best education college" award by Government of Gujarat in 1983 which gave it reputation all over the state and generated many new traditions for education institutions. B D Shah College of Education – Modasa is situated at City-Modasa, District- Sabarkantha, State :- Gujarat. The college has its independent two storeyed building along with all required facilities. There is a special facility of a hostel for boys and girls seperately along with the facilities of mess. It has huge common playground in front of the college building. It has a common gymnasium hall and special auditorium hall having provision of sitting for 250 students.

Generally, the academic term of institution begins from 15th June and ends on 26th April B.Ed admission Cell of Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University allots 100 student teachers having degrees of graduation / post graduation. The syllabus suggested by U.G.C and approved by the University is followed in teaching and practical work.
