It is a government - aided educational institution in perpetual memory of Vallal Pachaiyappa, under the management of Pachaiyappa’s Trust, Chennai. The inception of Pachaiyappas College for Men – Kanchipuram owes to Sri. C.Kandaswamy Mudaliar, a noble - hearted native of Kanchipuram and Vallal Pachaiyappa Mudaliar, a great Philanthropist. Pachaiyappa’s College for Men, Kanchipuram, in a vast area of around 68 acres in a rural environment, is built on the banks of river Vegavathi.
Since its inception in 1950, it has expanded tremendously into a Centre for Higher Education. Pachaiyappas College for Men – Kanchipuram aided through grants from the government, is affiliated to the University of Madras. Having secured eligibility under 12+ and 2b acts of UGC, the College receives grants through Five - year plans. It offers different kind of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
