Having had a rich experience in the educational field and dedicated involvement, Thiru K.M. Govindarajan, Chairman of the Trust, promoted KMG College of Arts and Science – Vellore on 10th of September 2000 after the green signal from the Government of Tamilnadu and University of Madras with a sanctioned strength of 196, in the temporary building at Tiruvalluvar Higher Secondary School Campus during the academic year 2000-2001. However on July 24th 2001, KMG College of Arts and Science – Vellore was shifted to its huge permanent building with built-up area of 45,000 sq.ft. situated at Ammananguppam, Gudiyattam Railway Station Road, Gudiyattam. Since than College is functioning in its own permanent building. KMG College of Arts and Science – Vellore offers different kind of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
KMG College of Arts and Science – Vellore is situated at Gudiyattam Railway Station Road Ammananguppam, R.S.Post Katpadi Tk, Vellore Dt, Tamil Nadu. The college campus, clean and green, has multistoried buildings with spacious, bright, well-ventilated classrooms. The science and computer laboratories are well–equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The library is well equipped with modern reading rooms, books, periodicals and newspapers. The Library is totally Air-Conditioned with seating capacity of 200 students and houses more than 5000 books and 100 Journals.
KMG College of Arts and Science – Vellore maintains Air conditioned computer with seating capacity of 60 students and houses more than 50 machines, all are intercomieted through Thin Client networking technology. Also the lab has been provided with a high speed broad band internet connection. Promoting sports and games so as to enable the students to come out with flying colors at Inter State level meets. A modern swimming pool is to be established in the near campus. An Indoor stadium with gymnastic equipments, weight lifting equipments, Table Tennis, carom and chess is to be constructed which will be an added attraction to sports persons.
Canteen facilities are available for boys and girls separately. KMG College of Arts and Science – Vellore maintains an air conditioned seminar hall with seating capacity of more than 250 students, which has excellent facilities like LCD projector, Audio and video systems. Transport facilities are available from all required places to enable the students to reach the college in time. Spacious play grounds including modern basket ball court, tennis court, volley ball court, cricket and open gymnastics are available for students to enrich their sports talent.
KMG College of Arts and Science – Vellore has an excellent Auditorium with seating capacity of more than 1000 students. It includes the facilities like Audio and Video systems. The National, State Level Seminars and other important functions are being organized very frequently here. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. The boys hostel is located half the KM from KMG College of Arts and Science – Vellore and the girls hostel is located in the campus itself. Staff members act as hostel wardens and take care of the students. Two N.S.S units of 100 students each for boys and girls have been approved by the University. N.S.S activities are regularly conducted in our college to improve the skills of the students. Campus Interviews are being arranged through our placement cell in order to help KMG College of Arts and Science – Vellore students to get placement even during the last semester.
