Sardar Patel Mahavidyalaya – Chandrapur was established by Sarvodaya Shikshan Mandal, Chandrapur in June 1970. The society has been working in the field of Education for the last 31years. Apart from running the Degree College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Sardar Patel Mahavidyalaya – Chandrapur offers Post Graduation in Arts and Commerce, MBA, DBM, Library Science. Around 5000 students are taking education under college, which is considered one of the largest integrated families in Nagpur University.
The Sardar Patel Mahavidyalaya – Chandrapur Department has well equipped library with reading room and reference facility. A large No. of periodicals journals, magazines, digests etc. are kept in library for reference and reading purposes.
The Computer center of the Sardar Patel Mahavidyalaya – Chandrapur was upgraded during 1997-98 with addition of machine and renovations and facilities.
