CHARUSAT has established the Charotar Institute of Nursing – CIN Anand in the year 2009 with the student intake of 40. The institute has been set up with the primary aim of meeting the requirement of nurses at various hospitals of the state and the nation. CIN is committed to provide a qualitative nursing education with advance knowledge, skills and caring heart who will be responsible for nations prosperity with a humanistic approach and maintain a high standard of professional care at all times to meet the needs of changing society through continuing education and contribution to professional growth. The college offers B.Sc. Nursing programme.
Charotar Institute of Nursing – CIN Anand is located in a thriving campus spread over the sprawling 100 acres of beautifully landscaped area of CHARUSAT. The campus is among one of the most impressive ones in India. It is located near Changa village of Anand district of Gujarat India. Massive educational complexes set in lush green environs provide the right ambience and atmosphere for intellectual stimulation. The campus has world class infrastructure in form of seminar rooms, class rooms, computer laboratories, library,hostels, canteens, etc. to facilitate the teaching-learning processes.
Charotar Institute of Nursing – CIN Anand Nursing Foundation Lab is well equipped with dummies and instruments, glass articles, rubber articles, Sphygmomanometer, Ophthalmoscope, Laryngoscope, Otoscope, and Manometer, to make students aware of the utilization of instruments. These instruments are utilized in fundamentals of nursing, medical surgical and pediatric nursing. Anatomy Laboratory contains all human models, articulated and dis-articulated bones, various charts and wet specimens which will enable the students to acquire more knowledge regarding human anatomy and physiology.
Charotar Institute of Nursing – CIN Anand Nutrition Lab provides the students knowledge regarding types of nutrients, sources, daily requirements and moreover the method of cooking diet for different disease like diabetes mellitus, hypertension etc. Maternal and Child Health Nursing Lab provides the knowledge regarding antenatal, natal and postnatal nursing care. It contains manikins and various obstetric and gynecological instruments. Community Lab is well equipped with various community articles, community bag, AV-aids material. More over it provides a community.
The Knowledge Resource center (Central Library) – a proud partner in Charotar Institute of Nursing – CIN Anand march towards its vision, plays a vital role in acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge. It has put in place policies and procedure systems and services and the ambience that facilitate creation of new knowledge. It has an excellent collection of both print and electronic books, journals, technical reports, back volumes and other reading material. It has adequate infrastructure to meet its requirements, has computerized all its operation using software developed in-house, and provide access to the collection through Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). The Resource Center contains 33,000 books, access to 450 online journals, 300 ebooks, 2200 CS’s.
Charotar Institute of Nursing – CIN Anand cricket and football teams have won several state level championships. The university campus has facilities for indoor and outdoor games like badminton, table tennis, cricket, valleyball and football. A fleet of 25 buses to and fro for transporting students and staff from different locations in Ahmedabad and Vadodara everyday.
Our support doesn’t stop once classes are over. Helping out the students get ready for the job market is equally important. A Training & Placement cell has been established at Charotar Institute of Nursing – CIN Anand to help students get the right job. Career counseling, job fairs, mock interviews and resume writing seminars are an integral part of all CHARUSAT programmes.
