Gopichand Arya Mahila College is dedicated to Late Seth Gopichand Ahuja, a rich landlord of Abohar who was the great admirer of “Swami Dayanand Saraswati” and his teachings. The College was started with the help of Rs. 2.5 Lac, donated by 'Seth Gopichand Ahuja Charitable trust' in May 1972.
In short span of time
Gopichand Arya Mahila College has become one of the prominent girl colleges in Punjab which has an aim to promote higher education among women to uplift their social value in society. It is also the first college in Abohar that started the study of M.A. English.
Gopichand Arya Mahila College - GCAM Abohar was started with a motto to lighten and brighten the path of women to make them competent and aware in this male dominant society. The College always believes in making the students well disciplined who can follow proper decorum in and outside the campus. Located at Hanumangarh road of the Abhor,
