The Jyothi Engineering College - Thrissur was started in the year 2002.The college is run by Thrissur Educational Trust under the self-financing scheme of the Government of Kerala. The courses offered have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi. Jyothi Engineering College - Thrissur incorporates top class infrastructure with three lakh Sq. Feet of build up area. The Campus contains various facilities like Administrative Block, Academic Blocks (Eastern & western), Mens and Ladies hostel, an extension counter of the Federal Bank, a co-operative store to cater the needs of the students a canteen and a gymnasium.
All classrooms are provided with overhead projectors while seminar hall is provided with an LCD projector. The computer lab is equipped with multimedia facilities and provide networking. In addition to this a 1Mbps dedicated leased line optical fibre internet connection. Due to the importance that the Jyothi Engineering College - Thrissur attaches to the all round development of an individual, counseling and personality development programs are held on regular bases. Our Jyothi Engineering College - Thrissur provide hostel for girls & boys.The grils hostel (Marian Ladies Hostel) with have a intake of 420 & the boys hostel (Santhome Hostel)with have a intake of 250. Each rooms is provided with the phone,bed and table. There are 3 person , 2 person rooms also provided to students.The Jyothi Engineering College - Thrissur operates 10 buses for use of students and staff from the suburbs of Thrissur and Palakkad districts. The operation is managed by a Bus Committee headed by the Finance Manager. Students are provided with bus passes during the admission process. Commuters should compulsorily carry the bus passes while travelling by college buses. Unauthorised travel in college buses leads to punishment with heavy fine.
Placement and Training Office started functioning in the Jyothi Engineering College - Thrissur in the academic year 2005-06 with the objectives to impart pre placement training for students to improve their soft skills through in house and external agency program and also to conduct Campus Recruitment by reputed companies in the country at our campus for the benefit of our students at large.
