Malaviya National Institute of Technology-MNIT Jaipur, is a Deemed University, which was earlier known as Malaviya Regional Engineering College. It was founded in the year 1962, as a joint venture of the Government of India and Government of Rajasthan College. Spread across 312 acres, 1.26 km2 of lush greenery, the campus of the Institute is imaginatively laid out with a picturesque landscape.
Malaviya National Institute of Technology-MNIT provides all necessary amenities for community living for instance staff clubs, hospital, banks, post office, community centre, school, staff residences, gymnasium, playing fields, guest houses, canteen etc. College area has been organized in three functional sectors like Instructional Buildings, Central Facilities, Students Hostels, and Staff Colony.
The instructional buildings of
Malaviya National Institute of Technology-MNIT include departments, Central Library and administrative block which are at a walking distance from the student’s hostels and staff colony. There is a branch of The Bank of Rajasthan Ltd. within the premises and a Post office in the campus. The College has also been extending facility of a Part time Homeopathic doctor and Ayurvedic doctor who is available in the campus. There are two guest houses in the campus that cater to the needs of guests and students. Ample facilities are available for sports and games and for co curricular activities.
Malaviya National Institute of Technology-MNIT understands that a major concern to all students and parents is the availability and quality of accommodation and food. There are different hostels for boys and girls. There are nine fully furnished hostels which have 3 seated, 2 seated and single seated rooms, eight for boys and one for girls. Each room has cots, study tables and storage space. The International Students Hostel for boys has 12 double seated suites.

College campus placements year after year in offered in all the branches. The average placement figures usually comes out to be in ascending order of about Rupees four five lakhs. The highest package that has been offered has gone of 11Lacs. A fully fledged Dispensary is also available in the College. It is run by a residential Medical Officer. The services of a part time Homeopathy Doctor as well as a Lady Doctor are also available to students and to the family members of the staff.
At present, the
Malaviya National Institute of Technology-MNIT offers eight 4 year undergraduate programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Technology in degree in Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering and 5 year undergraduate course that lead to the Bachelor of Architecture degree.. There are ten PG specializations, in CAD structures, Urban Design, Environment engineering, etc., in addition to doctoral programs with over 300 students. There are over 150 extremely motivated, young and dynamic faculty members engaged in teaching and research. Admissions to the institute are done through the All India Engineering/Architecture/Planning Entrance Exam AIEEE, as all other NIT's.
