Bongaigaon College was established in the year 1964. It is accredited by "National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NACC)" with B+ Grade. It has now been accorded the status of deficit grants-in–aid by the Government of Assam. It is one of the premier colleges of Bongaigaon and Assam and imparts education in Arts and Commerce Streams. Bongaigaon College is located at around 200 kms from Guwahati and can be easily reached via Buses and Rail.
Bongaigaon College has crafted a mission statement to offer an interactions and value-based education in view of representation from various ethnic and community spaces in its rolls, stressing on the dialogic culturalism in approaching academic and intellectual areas disseminated in the class rooms.
