The GITAM Institute of Management – GIM Visakhapatnam has now over 700 students pursuing management programmes. The institute has been recognized by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh & AICTE. Diversity and enrichment in teaching methods is a major strength of the Institute. The teaching methods adopted by the institute are therefore practical and situational. Nearly seventy percent of course delivery is based on exposure to real life managerial situations, case studies, role play, and group discussions. Audio-Visual aids are an integral part of the teaching process. The GITAM Institute of Management – GIM Visakhapatnam faculty is a rich amalgam of experience and knowledge, comprising of full-time members, associate members and practicing executives. In addition to teaching, the faculty members are also involved in research which provides new perspectives and understanding of ever evolving business situations.
GITAM Institute of Management – GIM Visakhapatnam faculty regularly interacts with the industry and business organizations, both Government and Private through training, consultancy and research projects. GIM also has MoUs with University of Glasgow, UK, University of Central Michigan, University of Nebraska, Omaha, and University of Cambridge for BEC programme, Dun & Bradstreet, HPCL and Pantaloon India Pvt. Ltd. for academic initiatives. GITAM Institute of Management – GIM Visakhapatnam only campus located at Visakhapatnam has 19 e-classrooms with a total intake capacity of 340 students per year. The institute has one computer lab consisting of 120 computers and English language learning lab with internet connectivity on all computers. The campus of GIM consists of a library with a collection of 27, 000 books. The institute has subscribed to E-journals of reputed publishers and research databases like Springer link, ACM, ASME, EBSCO, Proquest and Capitaline to name some.
The GITAM Institute of Management – GIM Visakhapatnam has sports facility, gymnasium with fitness center, indoor stadium and tennis courts on its campus. GIM provides hostel accommodation for both boys and girls with a total intake capacity of 340 students. The centre has a collection of over one lakh fifteen thousand volumes. 1 Gbps Leased Line, providing connectivity to all the systems over the campus. The Digital Library of GITAM Institute of Management – GIM Visakhapatnam provides free access to all research publications of GITAM faculty and scholars, subscribed journals of reputed publishers like IEEE, Springer link, ACM, ASME, ASCE, EBSCO, Capitaline, etc over GITAM Intranet. The Institute has a computer lab with 204 desktops with internet facility exclusively for Management students. The facility has 60 work stations for enhancing English Language skills namely Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening. The lab was set up in 2006 with the financial & technical support from HSBC.
GITAM Institute of Management – GIM Visakhapatnam maintains well equipped centrally air-conditioned conference halls with seating capacity of 200 and 500. The Institute has a mini conference hall with seating capacity of 60. Balayogi Kalapranganam, an open air auditorium, with a seating capacity of 1500 provides the right aesthetic environment to organize cultural events. GITAM Institute of Management – GIM Visakhapatnam conducts musical and cultural training programmes for the enthusiastic students to refresh themselves. The hobby centre is well equipped with electrical and musical instruments. Instruction in music is lessons given to the students.

The campus is having captive facilities for banking, shopping and telecommunications. College offers different kind of Bachelor, Master, Doctoral and Master of Philosophy courses leading to different streams with various specializations.
