Centurion University of Technology and Management - CUTM Bhubaneswar began five years ago by a group of ambitious professionals having aspirations to take it to the pinnacle of quality education, nationally and internationally. The first foray in this respect was the takeover of a failing engineering college in Parlakhemundi, Gajapati: the Jagannath Institute for Technology and Management (JITM). Gajapati is the poorest district of Orissa State, and appears in the Prime Minister’s “100 poorest districts” and “31 most extremistaffected districts” list. Since then, committed efforts have been made to bring about a difference to this area; both academically and socio-economically.
Centurion University of Technology and Management - CUTM Bhubaneswar (through its social outreach entity, Gram Tarang) is one of the first partners to National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to set up over 50 Skill Training and Capacity Building Centers across the country. We are proud to have entered into partnership with Government of Orissa, Government of India and non-government agencies to provide vocational training with job assurance for BPL, SC & ST youth, who would otherwise be unemployed and unemployable due to lack of adequate education and/or skills. Centurion University of Technology and Management - CUTM Bhubaneswar provides indoor and outdoor game facilities to the students at both Paralakhemundi and Bhubaneswar campus include cricket, volley ball, soccer, basketball, badminton, table tennis and much more. A gymnasium has been set up within the hostel premises. The gymnasium is equipped with all modern equipment and is open to both boys and girls at separate times.

The cell offers training in soft skills, leadership and managerial styles. It arranges mock interviews, group discussion, aptitude tests, technical skills and HR interviews for students. It also coordinates industrial visits and student training. The alumni of JITM also contribute towards enhancing the opportunities for placements of existing students.
