Majlis Arts and Science College - Malappuram is a self financing Post- Graduate College affiliated to University of Calicut and approved by Govt. of Kerala. The College was established in 1995 and upgraded as a Post- Graduate College in 2001. Majlis Arts and Science College - Malappuram started with the goal of imparting quality education to the rural people especially to the backward communities in the district, focusing on the educational and moral principles. The College is striving to reach out to new heights in its objectives in the extremely competitive and job oriented field by imparting Post-Graduate courses. The 50% of the seats will be filled up on merit according to the University norms and the remaining 50% will be filled up by Management. The 20% of the Management seats are set apart for the poor orphans and destitute.

The scenic and serene environs of the place are conducive for higher academic activities. The college has well designed, 3 storied building with a plinth area of 4000 sq. mtrs. Well equipped Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Computer and Language Laboratories, Library with a spacious reading hall, clean and green campus and prayer hall cum waiting room for girl students at homely atmosphere are some of the good attributes of the college. The main hurdle in educating girls, is the distance to the nearest educational institutions and the to-fro journey. In order to overcome this difficulty, the management started a Girls’ Hostel in the name of Moulana Azad Foundation in the
Majlis Arts and Science College - Malappuram campus. About 100 girl students can stay and study in the homely atmosphere at this hostel. The hostel provides boarding and lodging facilities at moderate rate.
Books are the preservers and carriers of wisdom of the past and ascent thought of current times. The books which you read and make use of are going to be used by several students and staff in future and the same is true with all the belongings of the library. All are requested to use these in such a way that they live long and thereby serve long.All members of the staff and students are members of the Majlis Arts and Science College - Malappuram library and are entitled to use the library for reference and to take books on loan. Others will not be entertained.
With a view to improve the general discipline in the Majlis Arts and Science College - Malappuram and also to provide opportunities for the staff to have closer contact with students and thus to enable them to look after the welfare of the students a Tutorial system has been introduced. Each class will have a class tutor and the tutor will keep regular watch over the progress and conduct of students under his care and will help them in their studies in a general way. All applications, including applications for leave and representations to the Principal, shall be made only through the class tutor concerned. The progress and the conduct of the students will be intimated to the parents by the class tutor.
