Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Pharmacy-SBSCOP has come a long way since its inception in 1986, and is a non-goverment research institute in pharmaceuitcal sciences. It is administered by Shaheed Bhagat Singh Educational Society. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Pharmacy-SBSCOP is located at Patti, Tarn Taran, Punjab. It was established as a diploma level professional institute in 1986 for under taking diploma courses. Further it established its degree level programme in Pharmacy in 2001. Since then the institute has been enjoying both diploma and degree cources in Pharmacy successfully. The college is approved by AICTE, PSBTE & IT, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and PTU Jalandhar.
The central computer facility of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Pharmacy-SBSCOP is supplemented with a campus wide local area network. The inter-building cable segments have been laid under ground through out the campus. The campus computer network is connected to the Internet through a high sped VSAT dish with broadband as well as Wi-Fi connectivity to the students. The students have their own Internet accounts and can access information at their convenience. The Computer Lab is open most of the day to enable students to work beyond class hours throughout the week. The college has separate hostel for boys and girls having its own fully fenced and safe campuses. Both hostels have well ventilated room for boys and girls, distinct halls, common rooms, play facilities, telephone, water cooler, cable TV, genset. The girls/boys hostel has day and night additional facilities. It has following labs under Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Inorganic/Organic Chemistry Lab, Pharmaceutical Analysis & Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Modern Analytical Techniques Lab, under Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry: Pharmacognosy Lab., Phytochemistry Lab, Natural Product Research Lab., Modern analytical Techniques Lab, under Pharmaceutics: Pharmaceutics I, Pharmaceutics II and Machine Room.
The Digital Library initiated in 2006 at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Pharmacy-SBSCOP, Patti it is the first pharmaceutical digital library in the state. It serves members of the campus in meeting their academic & research needs by providing timely & up-to-date information with value added services in all the areas of pharmacy. Apart from the Digital Library Reading Room, members can access from the entire campus. Institute arranges industrial tour for students every year to get them prepared for the professional life. Students visit the best industries in the region to learn to better utilize their knowledge. Most of the students got placed in the same industries. Well-established NSS unit with more than 100 boys/girls members actively engaged in different activities like: Tree plantation, Immunization Programme, Drug Deaddiction, Literacy Programmes, AIDS Awareness Programmes, Blood Donation Programmes etc. We have gathered many links, book listings, ideas and much more, to help make your gardening experience relaxing and rewarding.
