The Department of Physical Education takes a lead role in facilitating sports like gymnastics, table tennis, athletics and many more. Other groups, like interest clubs, the Women`s Development Center, the Eco-club, wings of National Cadet Corps and N.S.S., are also present, to enhance the personality and potentiality of the students.
Daulat Ram College for Women is known for one of the best hostels for girls amongst all the colleges under Delhi University. It provides accommodation to approximately one hundred and twenty five students. However, only the undergraduate students are allotted hostels. In the last couple of years, students from all over the world like Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, U.K., Kenya, Uganda, Mongolia, Tanzania, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, USA, Fiji, Korea, Indonesia, China and Greece have taken admission in this college.
Daulat Ram College for Women offers courses in B.A. (Hons) in English, Economics, Hindi, Sanskrit, Political science, Philosophy, Psychology, History, and Music. It also offers a course in B.A. (pass). Its B.Sc. (Hons) courses have Biochemistry, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The under graduate courses of Daulat Ram College also include courses in B.Com (H) and B.Com (Pass). At the Masters level Daulat ram College offers courses in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Psychology and Vocal and Instrumental Music department.
Daulat Ram College for Women celebrated its Silver Jubilee year in 1985 with great zeal. The Placement cell of the
Daulat Ram College for Women aims at creating awareness of career opportunities available for its students. It arranges placement seminars, interactive recruitment sessions and workshops which are conducted by various national and international companies and organizations. As many as 202 students registered with CPC and benefitted from it.
