Govt Degree College for Women – Karimnagar was established in 1973. Dr.V.Kondal Rao eminent educationist and philanthropist, Sri.M.Satyna Narayana Rao, the then M.P Sri. J.Gopal Rao, former Municipal chairman, Sri. Mukund lal Mishra and Bomma Venkanna strived hard in establishment of the college.
Govt Degree College for Women – Karimnagar started with 262 students with two subject combinations. Then this college was housed in former Basic Training school in 14.5 acres. Classrooms, Labs, auditorium, hostels were added in the successive years. Keeping in view the changing scenario and challenging trends in the modern society, we have introduced restructured courses, retaining conventional courses. Govt Degree College for Women – Karimnagar offers different kind of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
