Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering - P D A College of Engineering Gulbarga is one of the Premier Institute of Karnataka State. Established in the year 1958. All the efforts of the founder President of HKE Society, Shri Mahadevappa Rampure's dream came true. He was a great visionary and a statesman of this region. Starting with only three traditional departments like Civil, Mechanical and Electrical and with an intake of 120, Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering - P D A College of Engineering Gulbarga has grown phenomenally. The Under-Graduate course in Electronics and communications Engineering was started in the year 1967, the first to be started in the entire Karnataka State.
Now Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering - P D A College of Engineering Gulbarga has 11 UG and 8 PG courses. The College is located very near to the Railway Station and is at a walk able distance. The College is situated in an isolated place providing congenial and conducive atmosphere for studies.

It strives to provide information to faculty and students so as to meet their expectations. It has barcode reading facility and well equipped with modern facilities such as Micro Film Reader, Audio Visual Video Cassettes. A separate facility for access of E-Journals is also available in the library. Under Indest Consortia, the faculty and students are able to access about 250 online journals. Through DELNET the students can access the Library facilities of many reputed organizations.

An exclusive extension counter of Post office(station bazar) area is provided the place for service in our society area in-front of college. A Canteen is available in the campus to cater to the refreshment needs of staff and students at reasonable prices.

One is Sangameshwar Hospital which is just 1 km and other is Basaveshwar Hospital around 2 km away from college. These hospitals have good medical facilities and these are providing medical service to us regularly and on emergency. Students are treated at free of cost and staff are getting 25% concession for treatment. College has 2 Buses. One is exclusively used to bring girl students from hostels and the other is used for excursions, picnics, industrial tours etcCollege has telephone booth with STD and CCB facilities for students. Intercom facility is provided for faculty/staff. A stationary and printing press has been made available in the college campus to cater the stationary and other needs of students and staff. Our Campus provides safe drinking water at different locations.
