Shiksha Bharti College of Education (Registered Society) has come into existence with the lengthy and tough efforts of Dr. Nirmal Thakur (Chairman-cum-Managing Director). Shiksha Bharti Educational Centre is situated in the heart of Una Valley surrounded by beautiful lush green hills of the lower Himalayas. It is about 10 km from Una City (H.P.) and well connected by metalled road. The college is well equipped in all respects, besides well furnished & comfortable class rooms, well equipped labs and library having thousands of selected books. Very competent and experienced teachers are there to provide quality training. We are committed to encourage the students to participate in national and international educational conferences to understand the real picture of National Educational System at present.
As our country is facing a problem of unemployment but on other side we are still in lack of skilled professionals. To fulfill this aim Shiksha Bharti College of Education has started Vocational Training Institute and Industrial Training Centre with Engineering and Non-engineering trades. Shiksha Bharti has started B.Ed. College under recognition by H.P.U. through NCTE and JBT, NTT is also under process of starting. Efforts are being made to start Para-medical courses. Shiksha Bharti is also working in the field of Ayurveda in which nurseries will be setup of these plants which have medicinal values.
Shiksha Bharti College of Education the Registered Society has got recognised under the letter no STVC (IT) HF (7) I / SCVT / 2005 - 12365 dated 9/6/2005 at Himachal Pradesh Technical Directorate - Sundernagar. Shiksha Bharti College of Education (Registered Society) has got recognised with National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and approved by Directorate of Technical Education, Sunder Nagar Govt. of Himachal Pradesh under letter no. STV (IT) HF (7) Shiksha Bharti 12/02/1243 Dated 15/01/2004.Shiksha Bharti (Regd.Society) was established in 1997, soon after it was accredited with National Institute of Open Schooling an Autonomous Body, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
Letters addressed to the Shiksha Bharti College of Education students are delivered through the office. Letters of the boarders are delivered through the hostel warden. No incoming call except in very emergent circumstances is attended by the office on behalf of the students. However, facility of PCO/STD is available in the college campus to make out-going calls. Photostat facility is available in the campus. There is a well equipped computer laboratory in the college and computer education is compulsory for all the teacher trainees as per NCTE, H.P.Govt. & H.P.U. norms.
To impart education through technological equipments, there is ET lab established in the Shiksha Bharti College of Education. There is also an Over Head Projector in the lab. This lab is useful for developing teaching training skills in the students. Separate laboratories have been set up for Psychology, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Work Experience, Language, Social Sciences and Mathematics Labs as per NCTE norms. Canteen facility is available for day scholars as well as hostlers in the college campus. Items of students need i.e. Books & Stationery etc. are available in students shop. In the Shiksha Bharti College of Education there is a sick room, where those students who have some physical problem can take rest.
College has a well-stocked library with large collection of 5782 books, 110 Journels, 287 Periodicals, 12 CD`s and so many more for the students. A student who has sought admission in the college will not be allowed to migrate to another college. Hostel accommodation is provided to girl students. The rules and fee structure of hostel will be notified separately at the time of admission.
